Quick Tips For Moms, Just 15 Minutes A Day Can Make A Difference In Your Mood; What I Found May Surprise You

Where can anyone find 15 minutes when there is so much to do in a day?  I'm a mom with a newborn and a toddler.  Last night, as I am sitting around having dinner with 7 other Stay-At-Home Moms to hear what their frustrations are with motherhood.  It came to me that we really need a quick 15 minutes of doing something for ourselves without going into complete overload or boredom of the same chores every day.  My husband travels a lot and I become a single mom with kids most of the time.

How can I as a mom raising two small children on my own manage?

* I workout!  I have to or I will go nuts!  Two years ago, a friend of mine was so excited to have found this amazing workout and after two weeks she told me how many inches she had lost!  This is a 15 minute workout from T-TAPP and the focus is on inch loss NOT the scale. I haven't weighed myself in so long other than going to the doctor's office.  When I find I don't have much time, I do this fast but yet effective 15 mintue workout and it feels like I did something and I'm done! Plus, I can still eat whatever I want without feeling guilty. Even after just having my second child, the weight has been falling off of me a record speed and my daughter just turned 3 months old.  A big difference between my first child.  It took me 8 months to get back into normal clothes where T-TAPP has been 2 months.  I'm very happy with my results and sold for life! This same friend has become a Certified T-TAPP Trainer in the Northern California area. She will travel to different areas if there are 8 or more interested for a personal class.  Her website is ElizabethPlatt.com.

*Take a soothing bath.  Ok, so this might be able to get over 15 minutes but this has really made my life so much easier.  I read a book and get a two for one deal on a bath with epsom salt which soothes aches and pains.

*Get outside and take a quick loop around the block with the kids.  It brightens your mood and theirs.  I have a son who needs to be running and the sun and fresh air brings out the best in the both of us. Dishes, laundry, cleaning, feeding the kids, and going to the grocery store get very boring!

*Find an interest that you get for yourself!  Mine is photography.  I have always loved the art of pictures.  Find something to get yourself out of mommy mode!

*Put on a little make-up.  I know this makes me feel good when I look good.  Sometimes we get into the rut of being Fannie Farmer but need to have the sexiness of Marilyn Monroe sometimes.  Plus, our husband will appreciate it too!  I love having a little bit on just to feel sexy.  I'm thankful to have wonderful skin after discovering Rodan & Fields Dermologists products to get rid of the pregnancy acne and mask.  For more information go to aqjones.myrandf.com

*Use your brain!  I used to be in real estate and absolutely loved it, until I had my son. There is no way for me to run around and show clients houses when I have a newborn.  So, I hung up my work shoes and now I'm a Stay-At-Home Mom but now I work from home.  Around my own schedule.  One of the biggest compliant I heard is we aren't bringing in any money to the household AND/or not stimulating our minds.  I have found something anyone can do from home and online.  It's completely automated so no one has to become a "Salesperson".  For more information go to http://www.dream1k.com/

Here are quick tips to help make a difference in your mood and it is only 15 minutes a day.  These tips have worked for me and I'm thankful I have the opportunity to be a Stay-At-Home Mom.  It's definitely not the easiest job but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
