Quick Tips For Moms, Just 15 Minutes A Day Can Make A Difference In Your Mood; What I Found May Surprise You

Where can anyone find 15 minutes when there is so much to do in a day?  I'm a mom with a newborn and a toddler.  Last night, as I am sitting around having dinner with 7 other Stay-At-Home Moms to hear what their frustrations are with motherhood.  It came to me that we really need a quick 15 minutes of doing something for ourselves without going into complete overload or boredom of the same chores every day.  My husband travels a lot and I become a single mom with kids most of the time.

How can I as a mom raising two small children on my own manage?

* I workout!  I have to or I will go nuts!  Two years ago, a friend of mine was so excited to have found this amazing workout and after two weeks she told me how many inches she had lost!  This is a 15 minute workout from T-TAPP and the focus is on inch loss NOT the scale. I haven't weighed myself in so long other than going to the doctor's office.  When I find I don't have much time, I do this fast but yet effective 15 mintue workout and it feels like I did something and I'm done! Plus, I can still eat whatever I want without feeling guilty. Even after just having my second child, the weight has been falling off of me a record speed and my daughter just turned 3 months old.  A big difference between my first child.  It took me 8 months to get back into normal clothes where T-TAPP has been 2 months.  I'm very happy with my results and sold for life! This same friend has become a Certified T-TAPP Trainer in the Northern California area. She will travel to different areas if there are 8 or more interested for a personal class.  Her website is ElizabethPlatt.com.

*Take a soothing bath.  Ok, so this might be able to get over 15 minutes but this has really made my life so much easier.  I read a book and get a two for one deal on a bath with epsom salt which soothes aches and pains.

*Get outside and take a quick loop around the block with the kids.  It brightens your mood and theirs.  I have a son who needs to be running and the sun and fresh air brings out the best in the both of us. Dishes, laundry, cleaning, feeding the kids, and going to the grocery store get very boring!

*Find an interest that you get for yourself!  Mine is photography.  I have always loved the art of pictures.  Find something to get yourself out of mommy mode!

*Put on a little make-up.  I know this makes me feel good when I look good.  Sometimes we get into the rut of being Fannie Farmer but need to have the sexiness of Marilyn Monroe sometimes.  Plus, our husband will appreciate it too!  I love having a little bit on just to feel sexy.  I'm thankful to have wonderful skin after discovering Rodan & Fields Dermologists products to get rid of the pregnancy acne and mask.  For more information go to aqjones.myrandf.com

*Use your brain!  I used to be in real estate and absolutely loved it, until I had my son. There is no way for me to run around and show clients houses when I have a newborn.  So, I hung up my work shoes and now I'm a Stay-At-Home Mom but now I work from home.  Around my own schedule.  One of the biggest compliant I heard is we aren't bringing in any money to the household AND/or not stimulating our minds.  I have found something anyone can do from home and online.  It's completely automated so no one has to become a "Salesperson".  For more information go to http://www.dream1k.com/

Here are quick tips to help make a difference in your mood and it is only 15 minutes a day.  These tips have worked for me and I'm thankful I have the opportunity to be a Stay-At-Home Mom.  It's definitely not the easiest job but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

5 Top Things People Spend Their Tax REFUND On; Find Out What They Are

Want to know what people spend their tax refund on?  There are a variety things but these are the top things people put their extra cash to when there is a lump sum of funds coming their way.  It's almost like winning the lottery or a special savings account.  Here are some ideas of what to put your extra money into.

What to do with your tax refund; Here are top 5 most people put their extra money into.

1) Pay off bills.  I know it's not as exciting as buying a big screen TV or something youwill forget about in a month.  But this is a good way to put the tax refund towards bills so there isn't much interest paid along with the purchases made throughout the year.

2) Vacation is one that we think we deserve because we have worked so hard throughout the year.  As it is good to have at least one good vacation a year for mind and soul purposes. Better yet, if possible, try to take mini vacations as the year goes.  As I love to travel and my husband travels a lot for his employment.  It is definitely more interesting to travel with a newborn and a toddler but we do what we need to do.

3) This could be the time to do all the home improvement stuff big or small.  Landscaping isn't very costly and can make for great curb appeal.  Painting a room is inexpensive and is definitely instant gradification!  Even putting in new faucets and towel racks in the bathroom makes a huge impact in a room for a low cost upgrade and makes things look clean and updated.

4) Open a Roth IRA Account or rollover your traditional IRA into a Roth IRA Account.  Even though the interest isn't as good right now, it's a good time to put a lump sum in while it's somewhat low (Buy low, sell High method).  With even as little as $5.00 it can start with something and add a little bit every month.

5) My favorite of them all is a home based business.  At the beginning of the year, people realize they want more time freedom, money, and/or bills paid off.  I find most people are more open to looking into something that is a good fit for them. If you want more information regarding how to tell if a home business is worth your time & money; 6 ways to tell before you invest your hard earned money, Here are the 5 top things people are spending their tax refund on.  If your looking for a home business and want some ideas of how to tell if a home business is worth your time and money.  Go to my article to read my "Secrets".
